As those who have read Dinetah Dragon can attest, August 26th is Ariel Vibria's birthday. In other words, Ariel turned 32 three days ago. To celebrate this, DCP is offering you, the readers, the gift!
The Phantom Squadron series (The Advance Guard, Dinetah Dragon, and The Insurgent's Journal) is now permanently priced at 99 cents each for E-book editions (Nook, Kindle, and Smashwords). When the next books in the series are released, they will also be priced at this steep discount, beginning with next year's release of Infernal Eighteen. If you haven't yet checked out Phantom Squadron ... the contemporary fantasy series that emphasizes honor, love, family, and loyalty ... do yourself a favor and get the whole series for less than three bucks! That's right, folks! It's that time of year again, time to shake off the Thanksgiving turkey coma and get out there to start your Christmas shopping. What better gift to give than the gift of reading? Or specifically, the gift of DCP reads?

Don't wait to recover from your yearly tryptophan overdose: get your gifts NOW! Desert Coyote Productions is instituting a new pricing policy for digital books.
Starting next week, all titles available as e-books ... including our latest, Scent of Double Deception ... will now be available at the lower price of $4.99 per download. This includes all e-books offered for Amazon Kindle and B&N Nook (soon to be B&N Tablet). Keep an eye out at this space, too, for Black Friday specials on our products. Also, remember that for the month of November, the Phantom Squadron series is reduced in price through the DCP site. (See the previous DCP News posting for details) It's been a momentous few weeks since the last post here. During this time, some changes have occurred, hopefully for the better. You may have noticed that some of the wordings around the site have changed: this has something to do with the upcoming changes. I'll be keeping you posted in this space, but the very complexion of Desert Coyote Productions will be making a major shift in the next month or so.
In the meantime, head over to Goodreads and check out our new giveaway. Now through July 4th, enter to win one of three signed copies of The Advance Guard, version 2.0. Also while you're travelling the interwebs, be sure to check out digital editions of all of DCP's books, now available through three outlets (Goodreads, Kindle, and Barnes & Noble), all for an affordable price. Also, there's new merchandise available at the Zazzle store: check out the Dragon's Voice doodle speaker, or if you prefer additions to your wardrobe the Sonny Lauzanne Experiment T-shirt. What's the most you could lose? Just a little bit of time while you're being enthralled by the books. Keep your eyes on this space, though, for major DCP changes. As of today, there's exactly 13 days remaining in DCP's Blue Star Drive. Unfortunately, there has been next to zero movement on our total, as we're still at $35 going to the Disabled American Veterans.
The time for niceties has passed. If you read this blog, you know this drive has been going on since March. I've even had a blog comment applauding our efforts to help vets. The problem is, nobody wants to come forth and give. Therefore, I guess it's up to me to give everyone a little kick in the pants. I have a challenge for everyone who reads this, either at DCP or on Goodreads. In fact, there will be a separate Goodreads post presenting the challenge there. I want to get to at least triple figures on the donation to the DAV. To do that, we need to sell enough books and merchandise to achieve at least $65 worth of fundraising. The same percentages apply: 10% of proceeds from book sales (paperback and Kindle) and standard DCP merchandise from Zazzle. 100% of proceeds from Blue Star DCP merchandise from Zazzle. These will go to the Disabled American Veterans. With just book sales, we would need to sell 54 copies of Dinétah Dragon or The Advance Guard in order to reach the goal. With Blue Star merchandise, we'd have to sell either four pendants or nine t-shirts to hit the magic number. So really, it'd be easier to hit the challenge number with merchandise, but I know some folks might not want to shell out that much money. Here's the challenge, then. If you all out there make enough purchases to get us to $100 total funds raised for the Disabled American Veterans, then I will do the following: * Expand electronic versions of my books by putting Dinétah Dragon on Kindle and B&N Nook, as well as The Advance Guard on Nook. * Put up the beginnings of my next Phantom Squadron novel, Guarded Son, up for review on my Goodreads site. * The purchaser who puts us to $100 will get their entire order autographed, as well as receive the promotional goods winners of the Goodreads giveaway received, a signed postcard and an oversize bookmark. (We'll work out the logistics of this when it happens) Get your orders in, and let's show some support for our disabled vets! |
